Racing for Cancer commits 100% of net proceeds to promote and launch early detection and prevention initiatives in the battle against cancer. Many of the recipients and programs created by the funding are based in South Florida. Ryan is the 2014 Indy 500 Champion, 2012 Indy Car Series Champion and a two-time ESPY award winner for best Driver on the World Overall in 2013 and 2014. Ryan is an avid race car driver in various competitions and an avid South Florida boater and fisherman. He will be joining us and competing along side us for the tournament.

Ryan Hunter-Reay’s (Fishing) Story
Ryan Hunter-Reay, or RHR as he’s known, is not only the most successful American driver currently competing in the Verizon IndyCar series, but is also the most successful American driver racing in open wheel competition in the world today.
RHR is an Indy 500 champion (2014), IndyCar Series champion (2012), and a two-time Espy Award winner (2013 & 2014) for ‘best driver’ in the world overall.
He also really loves to fish. When he’s not on the track, he’s often said he’d rather be out on the water. This fishing tournament is one he loves to participate in both from a personal aspect but also from a charity aspect.
